THE JANE

¡Buenos días chicos! ¿Recordáis cuando os conté lo chulo que sería renderizar una fiesta? Pues bien, hoy os traigo imágenes de un nuevo restaurante, esta vez combinado con otro tema que me apasiona y para el que creo que la visualización arquitectónica puede tener grandes aplicaciones: la rehabilitación y el patrimonio. Esta escena recrea el espectacular restaurante The Jane, obra de Piet Boon en Amberes. Está ubicado en la antigua capilla de un hospital militar, un espacio totalmente privilegiado en el que la gran bóveda, los inmensos ventanales, la mezcla de lo nuevo con lo antiguo (¡esa lámpara!) y la escala del espacio en general, logran un ambiente sobrecogedor. 

Las infografías son de un hiperrealismo brutal, es genial la recreación de la bóveda desconchada, y lo más increíble de todo es que el autor únicamente ha utilizado Sketchup para modelarlo. ¿Conocíais las maravillas que se pueden hacer con un programa tan sencillo?

Good morning guys! Do you remember when I told you about how cool would it be to render our parties? Okey, today we talk about another restaurant, but together with something about which I am really passionate: architectural heritage and restoration. In addition, I feel architectural visualization has a great amount of applications to this topic. This scene recreates the amazing restaurant The Jane, designed by Piet Boon in Antwerp. It is located inside an old chapel of a former military hospital, a truly privileged space where the great vault, the wide windows, the old and new mix (that lamp!) and the space scale in general make a breathtaking atmosphere.

The renderings have a great hiperrealism, it's amazing how the vault's rusted texture is got. But the most incredible fact is that it was modelled using only Sketchup!

Did you know that you could create this beauty using such an easy program?

RENDER THE PARTY

¡Hola chicos! Como veis en estas imágenes, la visualización arquitectónica no solo puede ser utilizada para representar interiores o exteriores de edificios, sino que tiene un sinfín de aplicaciones. Siempre me ha interesado todo lo relativo a la decoración de fiestas, mesas, bodas y eventos en general; y creo que en este tema puede ser de lo más útil. ¿No sería genial poder ver cómo va a ser nuestra fiesta y comprobar si esas ideas que tenemos en la cabeza quedarán realmente tan bien? Como ejemplo (sí, esto también es un render), hoy os enseño estas infografías realizadas por Benjamin Springer, que recrean la terraza de un restaurante súper acogedor. Me encanta el toque de calidez que le dan las bombillas, y el detalle de la lluvia en la montera, las paredes enmohecidas y las plantas trepadoras son de un hiperrealismo que me fascina. ¡Espero que os guste! Hi folks! As we see in these images, architectural visualization not only is used for recreating building interiors and exteriors, but it has endless possibilities. I have always been really interested in all the parties decoration thing, tables arranging, weddings and events in general; and I think it can be really useful here. Wouldn't it be great to see how our party will look, and to check whether all those ideas in our head are in fact that good? As an example (yes, these are renderings too), today I show you these CG images by 3D artist Benjamin Springer which depict a cozy restaurant terrace. I love the warm touch of light bulbs, and details such as the drops of rain in the glass, the moldy walls or the ivy leaves give to the scene a stunning hiperrealism. Hope you like it! Huge kisses :)
